the milan triennale -- or triennale di milano -- is a museum of art and design housed inside the palazzo dell'arte in parco sampione, milan. created in 1933, the museum hosts an annual exhibition organized by the triennale milano institution and dedicated to architecture, design, and craftsmanship. Each edition is dedicated to a specific theme reflecting modern-day issues and lasts up to six months. from countries and cities to universities, companies, design centres, art associations, non-profit entities, and young creatives, participants are invited to explore and unpack the yearly theme across the museum's spaces. the triennale exhibition coincides with the annual milan design week, typically held in april in the lombard capital.
