Residential Complex in Voula by Free Architects and Micromega

Free Architects collaborates with Micromega Architecture Studio to create a Residential Complex in Voula, Athens, Greece. The suburban condo typology continues to shape urban expansion, offering new living standards. Situated in Voula, Athens’ southern suburbs, this development enjoys proximity to the sea and captivating waterfront views. The architectural concept revolves around radial cross-sections and lightweight elements, aiming to establish a cohesive ensemble.

Concrete slabs are meticulously designed to minimize thickness at the edges, enhancing a sense of spaciousness within each apartment. With a net internal height of three meters, each floor prioritizes comfort, while floor-to-ceiling glass panes blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces. The absence of structural elements at the transition to outdoor areas enhances visual continuity.

Tailored Apartment Typologies for A Diverse Living Experience

Different apartment typologies by Free Architects and Micromega are tailored to highlight the unique characteristics of each level. Ground-floor units feature outdoor relaxation spaces, some with swimming pools. Ground-floor apartments span two levels, incorporating internal balconies and double-height living areas. Upper-level apartments benefit from abundant natural light and expansive terraces, offering a seamless connection to the outdoors. Aluminum movable panels on balconies provide privacy and integrate outdoor areas into the living space. Additionally, balconies incorporate planting areas, seamlessly blending nature with architecture. An exclusive two-level apartment on the top floor boasts private rooftop access, adding an extra layer of luxury to the development’s diverse residential offerings.
