object leuci presents l1 chair and l4 lamp

Exploring the process of optimal form creation through a minimalist design language, OBJECT LEUCI unveils its latest creations, L1 Chair and L4 Lamp. The works represent the culmination of the designer’s quest to fuse aesthetics with practicality, offering users an experience that transcends mere utility. ‘The essence of an object lies in its use. However, when not in use, it is a sculpture that takes up quite a bit of space and has the character of an ornament,’ notes the designer. Despite their seemingly complex appearances, the chair and lamp are composed of basic symmetrical elements that each serve a purpose, carefully positioned to create a cohesive whole. There are also no purely decorative shapes without a role, while surface treatment also embraces and emphasizes the natural textures of the material, enhancing the tactile experience.

optimizing form through minimalist elements

OBJECT LEUCI seeks to transcends traditional definitions and create objects that resonate with users on a deeper level. This is reflected in the repetition of simple structures, which, when viewed on a macroscopic scale, appear as a complex harmony. The L1 Chair exemplifies this ethos with its meticulously woven structure, where every element contributes to both form and function. The design studio’s fourth work, L4 LAMP, seeks to create a soft and comfortable space through lighting, with a focus was on preventing the light source from interfering with the line of sight. The device was designed to simultaneously set the light quantity and diffusion angle according to the user’s intention using a physical dimming device using a gear method. Controlled via the handle and switch on the front, this stimulates the user’s senses by giving the user direct control through visual fascination and a beautiful tactile sense.
